Hallo! Mein deutch ist schlecht... I'll write in Englisch....
I Will soon buy an EE8, I had an 87 AS, but I don't know how a V-tec should feel...
Originally at how many RPM the V-TEC should kick? Is a strong feeling ?
What I have to check before to buy an EE8?
Which part of the car are more sensible to rost?
Thanks a lot for any help

A V-TEC gives you an awesome feeling. I can´t describe it. For example my 2.4 iVTEC is working at 5.500-7.200 RPM. The most power is directly at the end of the white line at 6.800 RPM. That means I have to power to the full RPM. The Sound of a real VTEC is the best i´ve ever heared. Other Engines have the full power at 4.500 RPM...and than ist over. No RPM = no fun! That is a thing, for what Honda´s build for. RPM³.
And the EE8 has a little weight. 150PS with only 1.000kg...WOW. + the Sound. The VTEC from a EE8 works to over 8.000 RPM! I like to say...Buy it!!! You will love this feeling.
The black CRX looks really mint!
You should check the fenders for rust (it starts from inside..) Also the sunroof might have some rustbubbles.
I only would buy a VTEC if i know that the previous owner only hit the VTEC when the engine+oil was warm and that he let it cool down before parking it. Its not that hard to get that engine on 160-170HP and you easily can swap a B18 oder build B20vtec in.
Then it should run good, i guess. the VTEC kicks at 5500RPm in.

Hi mate, where are you from??
check for rust:
- windshield frame
- area around antenna
- sunroof
- trunk inside
- fenders
- doors from the bottom
- skirts under the plastic covers
- fuel tank opening area
Check if you can find any info of previous accidents.
Check the gearbox - often it makes sounds between 2-3 and 4-5 gear when the engine ran alot of km´s. If you get the chance check it from below: bushings, cuffs, seals.
To find out if the km´s are real check steering wheel, seats, gear knob, carpet, pedals and the foot rest block left next to the pedals.
The best is to get a full history car;-)

I'm from Lugano Switzerland....
Thanks a lot for the info!
The guy says that i no rust, but I don't trust so much people....
He ask me 4000 euro and has 170000Km do you think is an right price?
think if it really hasnt too much rust and the engine runs smooth and is dry its worth it. Do a test run. Get the engine warm and check if the vtec kicks in at around 5.500revs. Ask for the oem rims and try to lower the price as this is the usual way to buy a car;-)
get backin touch if you need more info!
